I would check to see if your truck is already pre wired for the LED bed lights before getting the entire kit. My 2018 3500 was pre wired and all I needed to get was the lights and switch and plug them in and enable with alpha odb. It took about 10 minutes

I checked but I didn't see any pigtails near the tail light harness which I thought was odd, esp being a Laramie.

That is weird, seemed like the HD's have them prewired but I guess not.
