Thanks Dude, this is the look im going for. But a Car hauler. :Big Laugh: Mine cant go that low as its a 4x4 but will mount my cab as low as possible.

The 2y time frame is due to my monthly budget, And I also have my 53 to finish up this spring. I put it in storage the day after I completed my build. So there's a bunch of little things that will pop up im sure once I start driving the **** out of it.

I have at lest 6 months of body work on the 61. I have to stretch the front nose of the truck like 12" .:birgits_tiredcoffee

My buddy gave me a forklift propane tank to use as my air tank. FCIM showed up, and engine wire harness

My new charger and plasma cutter also showed up.

Unfortunately I got to spend the day cleaning out this shop, I guess 100 mg edibles are in my near future today. :birgits_tiredcoffee

My Dad made a bunch of compressors out of old propane tanks, and he also put a 500 gallon tank on wheels with a hitch to tow up to our other fields when we had propane powered tractors, and all he did was wash them out with soapy water, then fill them full of water before he welded brackets etc. onto them.

My father in law made a giant smoker/bbq unit out of a 200g(im guessing, could be way off but its huge-like 8ft long)tank.im sure he was more redneck and he is definitely old school uncle jed clampet redneck kind of guy and just torched it without filling it with water....lol
I have an 80 gal.compressor 5hp.kinda tried to compare size to that..easily more than double that size.
Still has it today, gotta be almost 40 years old...tons of great get togethers with that item.deer,hog,,elk,bison,antelope,ram,bear,alligator,fish..oh ya did I mention hog(lol)...tons and tons, that man is/was a fishin, huntin fool..lol..mid 80s now so not so much anymore...2 shoulder surgeries, triple bypass, pace maker.shoulder surgeries stopped him from shootin.busted down to using one of them auto wind crossbows now...still kickin though....that tank is seasoned pretty well I'd say.
He still won't sell me his old a z z huntin jeep either...lol
Sorry to get off topic again..you guys got me to thinkin bout the propane tank

That's the real dangerous way of working on a propane tank, unless it was brand new and had never been filled with propane

I will fab up a mount using bailer chain again like on my 53s air tank . The cool part on that propane tank has 2 lips I can bolt onto .

Well , after adding up all the parts I need to bullet proof this powerjoke, I decided to start looking for an old Cummins 12v 5 speed manual 4x4.

Let the hunt begin.

Are you looking for a complete truck,or just the engine/transmission?

I need a fully running truck. Need all the linkage. And it's cheaper in the long run then trying to find everything peice meal.

I will never buy a pulled Cummins you can't hear run

I'll keep my eyes open for you then. They still seem to bring a good chunk of money yet though.
