Starting to work on the Cab soon, the hinges are pretty rough so I went over to my buddy's place and sandblasted them. will try to figure out how to fix them tomorrow.

Spent today figuring out my door hindges, was able to match up the springs , and found bushings.

Tommorow should be pretty easy now that I have my master plan :waytogo: :birgits_tiredcoffee

To bad my 3/8 reamer won't be here until Tuesday for aligning those bushings.

An old trick to add life to a bushing is heat it up in the oven to 350 or 375,then throw them in a bucket of oil to quench them.My Dad always used 50 weight, but even a 30 weight oil works good for oil impreganting them

This is interesting :dogpile:

Cummins guys sure love these Eaton Swaps. I mean Dodge cant build anything thats reliable... LBH...

I shouldn't need this, as Im sure I have enough room for the Divorced T-case setup. But if I dont its nice to see someone already designed one.

What's the final purpose of the truck,is it going to be basically a street/highway truck,or a bush buggy.

Purpose zero to none :drunk: Well rolling coal all day is a great reason :favorites37:

I just want a bad ass diesel truck that has zero electronics at this point. Couple months of research later, it always boils down to the 6BT or the DT360 / DT466 in the Ford and Dodge forums. The reason I picked the IH Diesel is they are sleeved. and way way way ******* cheaper to rebuild compare to a 6BT. And the Eaton 6 speed can be found in IH trucks. So no need for a 2000$ adapter from 6bt to Eaton.

But im still building a flat deck, So I can toss the jeep on it when I go camping. Ill be selling my 10 RK Jayco RV after this season. And will upgrade a a slightly bigger one like the 16RK.

Just curious as feeding fuel to a 4X4 5 ton with a 466,isn't going to be cheap, lol

Spent some time on the DT360 FB group, and came across this gem- a 800hp DT360

Bottom end completely stock , Stock cam, Stock lifters ( just need to weld the split on them ) https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1ENKBtDGmy/

Im not doing all that crazy chite, I just want the 500hp upgrade. My T-Case is only rated for 650 hp. So need to keep it a bit more tame. And this setup is with the stock injectors lift pump as they are good up to 500hp. And stock head bolts. You dont need to stud these engines either until you're over 1000hp.

Im still blown away how cheap it is to get 500hp out of this, compared to a 6BT.

195$ - CSD DT360/DT466 Performance Valve Springs set
230$ - CSD DT360 High Strength Pushrods set
425$ - CSD DT360/466 P-Pump Adapter with Hub
1350$ - CSD DT360 Engine Kit - ( Yes that price includes everything , even new sleeves and pistons. )
1400$ -Billet S364/68 T3 Wastegated Turbo
750$ - Bosch P-Pump
150$ - DT360 intake manifold from a IH tractor . ( they are a bit smaller to clear the P1700)

You also need Intercooler so Ill use the one from the F550, and thats it. This thing will be a beast... lol... So I guess I need to go down to Gratton Coulee tractor parts to get me a manifold. :anitoof:
