Your 93 definitely looks nice enough to restore or build.

The 93 is rough. Looks good from a distance. Needs floors, and rockers front cab supports. A patch on the drivers side fender. The bed wheel arches have the patch panel glued on and bondo over so they'd need to be redone and the bed supports need replacing. Previous owner put a different trans in and couldn't get it to properly down shift. But maybe a later project.

The 90 has been 99 percent a complete restore. Phase 1 replaced axle seals bearings/races u joints, all new brakes (rotors, drums, calipers and supporting hardware) new brake line's, fuel line's. New u joints on the driveshafts. Will have new manual locking hubs, shocks and tires. Basic replacement parts on the motor (fuel pump, water pump, Thermostat, belt, belt tensioner, alternator, switching to a 91-92 radiator and Thermostat housing, new oil pan, engine mounts, gaskets). Replacing the floors, rockers, cab supports. New body mounts. Leaving the trans mostly untouched because I plan on manual swapping at some point. Body, I like the patina aged look so that's why I bought the 92. Phase 2 will involve pulling the motor and rebuilding it. It's only got 120k on it.

frame off is the way to go. a little more work at the start but way easier to get everything done and done well.

I ended up building one of my parts truck up as well during my project. Now I have 2 old trucks, will probably sell one at some point.
