After spending countless hours on here I purchased some parts for my 2014 Express, over the past 2 months. Currently, I have some Mevotech UCA's and -19mm offset Ballistic 20x10 wheels sitting in my bedroom. I also have a set of Rancho's coming from Moe's to help level my truck out.

I have been trying to decide which tires to get for the past 2 months. Please keep in mind, I am an Outside Salesman and literally use my Ram everyday as my office. So far I am up to 27,900 miles in just 1 year.

I am looking to keep the stock size or bump up a size to 275/65r20. I have a buddy that owns a small shop which is where I will be getting my new rubbers. As of right now I have it narrowed down to General Grabber AT2's in 275/65, Nitto Terra Grappler G2's in the stock size, or Cooper AT3's also in the stock size. I'd throw Toyo Open II's in the mix, but my buddy can't get them.

Please help me!!!!!

Thanks,
Dave

I have Grabber AT/2's on both my truck and my old one love them all year round with little to no road noise whatsoever and excellent performance. I put almost 18,000 miles with my old truck before selling it with little tread wear and 80% of my driving is city.

The Cooper AT3's are just as good in every way but have a slightly lower tread wear rating.

That's awesome! Thanks for the fast reply!

Haven't had them myself but my friend had General Grabber AT2's on his old truck and he loved them.

If you are on the road constantly I would suggest the toyo HT if your buddy can get them or the comparable Nitto as they should be the sameish tire. The reason I say this is when I sold tires I would have companies that work out of vans with these tires on them and they would consistently get 80k miles to 100k miles and at the time the performance to cost ratio was justifiable. Now I'm not sure as tires have went up so much in the last few years but that is my recommendation.

^^^I agree. Go with 295/65R20 or I went with 295/60R20 and I also have the Rancho level kit.

How do they fit with your -12mm wheels?

I have 20X10 wheels with a -19mm offset and 4.75" of backspacing. I feel like those sizes will stick too far out of my fenders. I don't mind them sticking out 2 or 3", but anything above that would give me problems with the police in NY state as I don't plan on running fender flares.

They fit good. I really like the look. It does rub a tiny but at full lock turning left only. Easy to avoid the rubbing.

After reading your post about the great gas mileage you are getting with your new tires, I think I'll stick with the stock size. I put 70-130 miles on my truck a day for my job, and I am not looking to lose any mpg's.

Right now I am really leaning towards the Cooper AT3's in the stock size and the stock load range. I would love to try the Grabber AT2's, but they only come in 275/65 which is load range E, and I am worried I'll take hit on my mpg as well as have a rougher ride with the E tire.

Yeah I wasn't thinking the mpg's would drop that much, but I guess I didn't really buy the truck with mpg's in mind either. I had a certain look I wanted and I am willing to take the hit in mpg's to get there. I don't drive 100+ miles a day either though. That would get expensive.

Actually the ride quality is quite good with the E load range tires, not the most comfortable compared to a stock P Tire but you could nail a good size pot hole and not worry about the tire buldging when you can't swerve to avoid it.
