I’m planning on dropping it already at least 2/4.5 but would like just a tad more if there isn’t too much rubbing. The long term wheels that I’ll run are 22x10 on 305/45 nittos or toyos. I know the rear will have plenty of room but how much scrubbing at full lock turn should I expect from each lowering amount? And if it’s a decent amount is it something that a little plastic trimming would take care of, or am I gonna have some metal interference? Thanks in advance. Hopefully someone is already at this level running this size wheel and tire that can give me some insight.

My 4x4 is lowered 2/3 with 305/45/22 on SRT10 wheels. I only have slight rubbing at full lock on the sway bar. Not enough to hear but I can see the rub marks.IMG_1012.jpeg

That’s fine with me lol, my moms bone stock 2012 sport rubs the sway bar and it’s not lowered a single inch and still on factory 275/60r20’s I’m assuming you only need 3” in the rear cause you have the extra weight of the quad cab weighing it down or what? All the ones I see have more in the rear and are still level, like I have 2” drop shackles currently and am still not fully level

Why would you want to lower a truck ?

(And I don't really care, but I got to get my post count up to use the for sale section, so im forced to ask these kind of questions)
Because if I wanted to offroad I would have bought a regular 4x4 and not a limited edition sport truck that’s slightly rare and considered a muscle truck

I had 2” shackles on before I lowered the front with the McGaughys spindles/knuckles and it wasn’t quite low enough so I grabbed the 3” leaf springs.

If it is slightly rare that's even more reason not to lower it and make it look like, well, we all know what a lowered truck looks like

But whatever

I’m guessing that I’ll need a kit with more in the rear than you since my wheelbase is shorter or at least it makes sense in my mind and also seeing that stock front height and 2” in the rear still wasn’t enough. So now I’m back to the original question of 2/4.5 or just jump straight to 3/5 lol

I'll give you this, if you can find a lowered truck that looks great, it truly is a rare vehicle, because I have never seen one

Well that’s unfortunate for you and not my problem, stop being so closed minded and you might find things you never knew you liked. Just because it’s a truck doesn’t mean it has to be lifted with a/t tires and a steel fabricated bumper that’ll never be used

I couldn’t care less about an el camino, I grew up around nothing but old mopars thankfully, with the exception of a few trans ams and camaros. Never liked the look of a majority of all gms and fords

I've owned a few cars all across the board, but im glad to say, when I traded my superdookie in for the 2500 ram, that made the whole fleet mopar

Now, you'll get a chuckle out of this...I was pretty happy the ram is lower then the superdookie, because it actually fits in my garage
