Also had frt/rr hellwig swaybars, spohn upper and lower control arms, panhard bar and rear qa1's installed but the shop that installed it had a couple problems they couldn't install the front shocks because the lower bolt mount was not long enough to safely install. anybody with front qa1 shock have this problem?

I'm a little confused, Please elaborate on the lower bolt mount issue.

I do know when guys started putting QA1's on they were modifying something. Look up some posts from DavidRam regarding the Shock installation, but I thought this issue was solved.

Oh and it looks Great!!!!!

Truck looks awesome!
How does it drive? Hitting bump stops at all? Are you running the stock bump stops? So you are currently running the stock shocks in front?

I am considering getting the Crown 2/3. ( currently have the Belltech 2/4).

Can you take a picture of your QA1 mounting bracket? I did some extensive reading a while back and never heard anyone saying there was any issue or complication with front QA1's mounting bolt. Like previously stated, when people originally started using the QA1 there was modification needed. However someone found a different QA1 shock that required no modification for install.

What part# did you order on those front shocks? The correct number should be 514.

That should be the correct shock unless QA1 put the wrong T bar in those somehow. I have been running the same shocks in the TR514 version since last year without any problems and know numerous other guys running them trouble free as well.

Matt- Does your front QA1's have the same lower mounting bracket as his?

Depending on where exactly the bolt and nut tighten down on, I wonder if a washer would be able to provide enough contact?

It looks the same, but all the QA1 T bars look the same.

I have another pair of these on order for a local customer, so I will measure them when they come in early next week.

That is the wrong cross bar, you need the longer one. QA1 has two different crossbars...

Also, I would drill out the factory threads and use the QA1 bolts and nuts...

You need the one that is not installed in the picture below. If you talk to QA1 about it, it is the crossbar that comes standard on the TS801 shocks...

front qa1's and smaller bumpstops installed and the shop had to retighten the control arms because they were already loose and it now drives and handles pretty good

Did you end up installing the 514 QA1's after all? I just installed a set on the 2014 regular cab we built last week, and they bolted up without any issue using the supplied T bar that came on the shocks.
