Always needed some front hooks. Had some 70's vintage hooks from an old 3/4 ton Suburban my dad owned, figured I'd use the Gen 2 Off-Road hook attachment design and fab some brackets. Had the front end completely apart for suspension/differential rebuild and manual hub conversion. Rust neutralized and painted the frame and firewall, along with differential and suspension pieces. Fab was pretty easy, install straightforward, plenty solid. Welded in a piece of angle across the frame for a little more bite and stiffness, used stock mounting holes and bolts. 5/8 bolts for hooks. Ended up welding an extension to the top of the bracket to get the third bumper bolt through it. Stronger.
