Always needed some front hooks. Had some 70's vintage hooks from an old 3/4 ton Suburban my dad owned, figured I'd use the Gen 2 Off-Road hook attachment design and fab some brackets. Had the front end completely apart for suspension/differential rebuild and manual hub conversion. Rust neutralized and painted the frame and firewall, along with differential and suspension pieces. Fab was pretty easy, install straightforward, plenty solid. Welded in a piece of angle across the frame for a little more bite and stiffness, used stock mounting holes and bolts. 5/8 bolts for hooks. Ended up welding an extension to the top of the bracket to get the third bumper bolt through it. Stronger.

Do I spy another single cab short bed 4WD in white? :)

Nice work. The frame and hooks look great.

Yeah....another sun baked '95 2500 4x4 V-10 in primer grey. ;)
Did have a White '98 Sport 1500 4x4, built it and gave it to my son. Not as nice as yours, but he put some money into it, takes good care of it. Resides in Colorado.
