I’ve had 2250 in the bed on BFG tires and it swayed so bad I didn’t go over 25.

If you have air suspension, i would not do it

Make 2 trips or an officer may see the rear end squatting & pull you over to admonish you or worse

I would load it up and see what it looks like. If it squats too much you will have to make 3 trips. If you are running stock tires make sure they are pumped up to the max on the sidewall.

I carry 2,400 pounds (60 forty pound bags) of wood pellets under a fiberglass topper up and down 5,000 feet of elevation. If your in a blue county of Maine, then it's like around here with few to no other vehicles out on the road. The truck rides level.

Yours not being a power wagon will make quite a difference as far as how it handles payload. The pw is closer to a half ton.
Only difference is the others have air bags, put in a set of Timbren DR-2500 - Rear Kit
and it will haul as much as the rest back there and ride alot better then air suspension. Used a set on my 1500 for towing and a set on the front for my plow. I was so impressed with them I put them to a real test. I did a trip for 25 miles without my sway bars hooked up to my 30 ft travel trailer. I was on a road that went up to 50 miles an hour and never even knew I never had my bars hooked up. Not something everyone should try but I been trailering for 30+ years and was so impressed with these Timbren I had to test them out.

It sways at higher speeds just as 4xdad states. Fully inflated load range E tires. With the OEM D tires the sway is worse. Go slower.

If you can borrow a trailer (since it sounds like you don't have one) I'd personally go that route and try to get it all done in one trip.

If you can't, then definitely make 2-3 trips.

I hauled 4250 in my 2 door 2500. About 1000 over sticker. 100 miles.
3 years ago. Don't make a habit of it.

ahh just get it loaded up ya pus!

i stuck a yard of fill dirt in my bed. which i guess is anywhere from like 2000lbs to 2400lbs.

I am on 35" Toyo AT2's.

Yes i aired up to the factory 60F/65F
Yes it was sitting HARD on the bumps stops

But not. The Power Wagon still dont care. lol.

I took it down interstate 45 doing 65mph. Even had the cruise control on.

The corners are what get ya. but we dont have to worry about those much in Texas :)

wuh?????

Theres a big difference between the suspension on a normal 2500 and on a power wagon (as well as actual payload numbers). And actual towing performance proves it.
I understand that but being comparing to a half ton is a joke lol, you can increase your payload with the proper product safely and as for towing as long as you stay under your vehicles GVWR you can haul what you want. I got the Power Wagon as it does everything I need and I don't like air ride suspension. Come live up here in the North and see how long it takes for air ride suspension to fail with all our elements .
