Happened when I was on the highway. Running normally then out of nowhere car started to slow down. Gave it more gas to get it going but no luck. Luckily got off the highway. Trying turn car on and off, using 4 wheel drive, reverse, anything i could think of. Looked under car and it seemed fine. Fluid levels good and color looked great. Was wondering what was going on. Looked up issue online and most pointed to the solenoid. Not sure which one. Car turns on fine but when i shift to reverse, drive, 1 or 2 it feels like its in park. I can move car in neutral as well. Any help would be nice. Tried to look up codes and nothing came up too.

Thank you all.

From your description of the problem. Shift Solenoid is most likely the issue. I believe you have 5. Plus a few others that play apart in what the transmission does. If your not comfortable dropping the pan and replacing Solenoids. Take it to a shop, but by no means is it hard. But you definitely wanna take your time and make sure things go back how they came out. I'd also do a filter and fluid change to. If there are no codes. Not sure man, I'm not a transmission guru. Those are a monster by themselves. Hopefully someone has a better answer for you.

That is what i think the issue is too. But the part is expensive! But it is, what it is. Was working on car today and wanted to see which part to buy before I commit. Going to get part tomorrow and try it out. New filter and everything. The issue I had today taking the part off was the plug on top. It is very tricky to get it off so the pack will come out. Was looking online to see how they took it off but it seems like it's a lot of elbow grease that will get it off. I will update The issue I had today taking the part off was the plug on top. No luck with changed solenoid pack. Same issue is there. Only thing else would be when i turn car off, engine sounds strange and takes a while for noise to quiet down.

One thing I always do is jack up the rear diff and get the rear tires off of the ground. Start the truck and put the shift lever in DRIVE. Crawl under the truck and see if the driveshaft is spinning. I remember seeing in your original post that you tried to put it in 4WD but it made no change.

So, the next thing I would do is to connect a scan tool and see if we have any transmission DTC's.

Then, I would look at the input speed sensor with the transmission in DRIVE to see if the input shaft is turning. If we see input speed but we have no output we can assume we have a major mechanical failure inside the trans.

It's time to get a scan tool connected to the truck and do some digging!

Thank you will do! Which scan tool would be best? Or even rent one?
I don't necessarily recommend buying a scan tool unless it is a tool that you will use enough to earn a return on your hard earned money. Good scan tools can be expensive and definitely not all scan tools are the same.

The little scan tool you can borrow at your local auto parts normally does not have the capability to read and display transmission data. What you can use it for though is to see Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

If you can borrow a good scan tool that would be awesome. For what you need to see it does not matter which brand. You need to make sure it can read and display transmission data.

Fast69mopar is talking about a scan tool you most likely won't be able to rent. Shops will have them. As for buying, your probably looking at $500+. These scanners are bi-directional. Not only do they receive data from every part of the vehicle including the transmission. But you can also control/ test different components. Most of your basic Scan tools, only receive and as far as getting that in depth with the tranny. Good luck man. Hopefully the transmission isn't toast. Let us know what you find. If you do find a Scan tool that does the job. Let us know the brand as well man, rent or buy

Check torque converter flex plate bolts and make sure the TC is spinning.
