Hi all
I have reacently bought a 2018 Ram 1500, with an 5,7 Hemi
Quite hapy with it, but it has some small bugs.

The cruice control is not working, showing code P0579 and P0581
I am not able to reset the fault code. Not sure if it is my software/hardware OBD that is the problem, or if it is the car.

When I test the cruice control buttons on the steering wheel, it says in my OBD program that it is reading different current, when I push different buttons.
I cannot get the gear +/- to work, and suspect it could be the same issue. U1477

I have also accosionaly noticed a little noice from the steering wheel when I turn it. It is not all the time, and is close to soundless, but it sounds like some plastic bending and popping back.

Where do you recomend to start? Is it any parts I should get, that is nice to have?
As I live in Norway, and is of to work (without my car), I could appreciate some tips, and get it ready for my return to home.

Cheers
Hans

There was a recall a long time ago for steering wheel harness issues. The harness in there is super delicate as well.

There is a reset of sorts that can be done by holding the plus and minus gear buttons for 10-15 seconds. I do it while driving at highway speeds to test if it gets cruise control working again.

Another thing to consider, if you were ever thinking of upgrading your wheel nows a good time to do it instead of throwing individual parts at it to chase the issue.
