I know this subject has been beat to death but i would like to add my experience to the subject. In 2017 bought an 05 cummins truck with a vibration.
Read all the posts and as a result replaced drivelines wheels and tires, checked all drive line anges and generally tried every i read on line. Reduced but never got rid of vibration. 2 years ago had a leaky rear wheel seal and decided since i'm going this far i might as well do all 4 corners of my brakes (pads and rotors ebc in case it matters), wheel bearings and seals. Also installed yukon freespin kit i had sitting around. After completing project and going for test drive was shocked to find vibration completely gone and truck was smooth as glass. Went back to shop and started looking over all the old parts. I cant be 100 percent sure because i changed so much but it looked to me as though the front rotor cooling fins had rusted and aout a 3" section of fins were quite a bit shorter than the rest. and my best guess is the rotors were out of balance. One of the reasons i never suspected rotors is the vibration seemed to dast to be a wheel, acted more like a drive line issue. Just some info for those still trying to sort these vibrations out. once the issue was found truck is smooth as glass.
