2006 hemi 5.7

When truck is first started it revs to 1800 then goes back to about 800. This is my first hemi and dodge for that matter. Next when revs go above 5000 when passing engine light flashes until I let out or it shifts. Third what is the best spark plug to use by looking at them I'm guessing they have never been changed with 121000 miles. Any help is Much appreciated

As far as revving I'm not sure, but use the champion copper plus spark plugs. It's Mopar recommended and cheap.

My truck, on a cold start has a fast idle of 1400 RPM, dropping by 200 RPM every 15 to 20 seconds, eventually settling at 800 RPM. It also will go to a high idle of 1000 RPM during hot start settling down to 700 to 800 RPM's. The top speed has a limiter that can be adjusted up some with a tuner. RPM's are also limited to 3,500, revving the engine in park, or neutral, to prevent engine damage.
