I have a 2007 Ram 1500 4.7L V8. I have been having issues with my engine coolant temperature sensor. I have replaced it several times already. It’ll be good for about 3 miles and then the light will come back on. It’s throwing a po117 code. Showing a low voltage. I have replaced the wiring harness and connector that plugs into the ECT. Sometimes my temp gauge will work and sometimes it won’t.

I have also changed the thermostat and PCM. I don’t know if this is the cause but it also idles around 1200-1600 rpm’s at idle. This is causing it to shift hard and my mileage is horrible.

I’m out of options, I don’t want to take it to the dealer if it is something I can fix. I feel like I might be missing something but right now, I’m lost.

Thanks.
