So I posted before cylinder miss number 4 p0304 and a weird p1414 and about suspecting valve and even going to another person for help they claimed same thing.
By hand all valves moved well all springs intact. And running on 7 no clatter or valve train noise. Got compression bad like 40, then Later on tried again got good 135 than another time later on after that 50. Turned it over with flood mode to do testing. All valves moved similar movements and looked good.
And finally many months sitting, pulled head and took to machine shop for diagnostic and repair. They found nothing wrong but a obvious sign of a head gasket issue. All chambers checked out everything. So I had them Pull the broken bolt out of the exhaust area for me and took it home. Brought them the other head next day to check and also get a broken bolt out for me. All was good the other head was fine but going that deal and doing head gaskets should just do both.
Back together and was running well at idle smooth now no miss while warming it and getting air out of the coolant.
Took it out finally once on a main road and cruising 40 or so and then coming to a stop at a light when a feel of a miss returned and started again with the p1414.
Returned home carefully shut off and restarted no more shake or feel of miss.
Is this a sign of MDS solonoid sticking?
Could it be that? Worth a shot?
I been inside probably should have just did everything. Like cam and lifters but with just the signs of a gasket and all was moving though it was better to just do the gaskets.
Unknown milage on engine was replaced before I got it. Also from the looks of internals I would say it's pretty low milage, cylinder bores look great so did pistons. No scoring.
