to all owners of 2008 1500 ram 4x4 if you don't have extended warranty and you are under 5 years and 100,000 km better get in and get your transmission checked because they are only good for 100,000 i have had my truck for a year and a half it is under the five year warranty but i have 129,000 km on it and my transmission failed turns out the pump failed and that took out the torque converter after talking to head office i was told to bad so sad you are over your km so we will not fix it have owned dodge trucks all my life and this will be my last one told them that but they don't care oh and the cost to me to fix it 3,000 dollars

My soon to be ex wife has an F150 with 1 yr and 54k on it. Already needs a new transmission. And she don't drive it fast or anything like that.
Good luck on getting a fix after any warranty expires.

Well since you replaced the clutch at 178k, that MUST mean dodge makes horrible trucks and you'll never buy one again, right?

That's what I love about a good ole standard transmission, they will damn near last forever. I don't think I've heard of anybody putting that many miles on 1 clutch in a truck, that says a lot.

85k on my manual and replaced the clutch with a centerforce unit because I do a lot of towing and needed it. Not other problems at all though.

Same tranny....134,000 miles. A workhorse that has seen off roading, hauling and daily driven. Mine is religiously maintained though.
