2009 2500 engine model

I’m alittle confused here, I figured the 2500 would of had the 3rd gen Hemi in it for 2009, since it was still the 3rd gen body style, but I’ve seen some people and articles saying it had the Eagle Hemi in it? What’s the deal with that?

Just like in 2002, they overlapped the platform by a year. So while the 2500/3500 looks like a 3rd gen, yes the gas versions have the eagle hemi. It's a weirdo lol. Example:

Wow, well then I stand corrected lol! Now I’m super curious, how does it all work? If the factory has it running, then why is an eagle swap so hard to do?

I'm guessing it's a weird hybrid of the 09+ elex and the preexisting. Factory can do **** like that and make it work easily lol. Rest of us aren't so lucky.

Well I was actually able to take a quick look at a 09 2500 today, sure enough it had the eagle Hemi in it. It was strange that I was talking about it and then noticed a ram driving around the job site that had the 4th gen style 2500 badges. So I walked up to the guy and asked to check out the engine haha! I’m still curious how the computer works on it
