I have a 2010 Ram 1500 that will shift easily into 4X4 mode but when it comes to shifting back to 2WD it doesn’t want to disengage. It shifts into 4WD and 4LOW and then back to 4WD. The problem is that it won’t cleanly go back into 2WD. I can feel truck pull to the right and can hear a whine until it actually disengages. Last time it took a mile or 2 before I could feel a thump and it disengaged. The 4WD does engage as I have used it during snowfall that required all 4 wheels but it just struggles to let it back into 2WD.
