2011 Ram Remote/Auto Starter Range

2011 ram 208k I have noticed my remote lock/un lock and auto start range getting worse and worse new remotes and battery's I programmed them myself as i have a scanner. unless I am like 50 ft away I get nothing. Is there such thing as a extender? Where is the antenna located? could I replace it maybe its bad? Has anyone else had this issue it never use to be like this its annoying in the winter for auto start. I use to be able to start it from inside my building lol gotta be something I can do someone has to of come up with some sort of extender/better antenna by now no?

It uses the radio antenna, so if you've put one of those short bullet ones on it reduced the range.
If it's the OE antenna it might be corroded under the mount.

Yes i have OE antenna I will check it out thanks I have noticed I dont have the best radio reception not terrible tho. I wonder if I put a aftermarket better antenna would it make a difference? and yea ik not the short bullet ones.

That's for keyless entry, not remote start.

My 2015 appears to have gotten worse over time as well. New batteries in the remote doesn't make it work any better. What I have found is that often times I can get the doors to unlock from a certain distance even though the remote start won't work. Once the doors unlock, it seems as if the key fob is locked into the truck. At that point I can double-click the remote start and it will work.
