2012 Hypertech tuner

I'm new to the forum, but every vehicle that I have owned I never keep stock. I have only had my truck for a month and the first mod I want is a tuner. It seems that everyone is talking about BD and DS. I stumbled upon Hypertech, but know nothing about them. They claim to have a tuner for the 2011-12 Ram. Does anyone have experience with them? I guessing it must not be a great product if no one has mentioned them at all.

Hypertech just hasnt brought much good to the hemi trucks, even going back to the 3rd gens. They were just always at the back of the list for hemi performance. I would stick with either the Bullydog tuner, or get a custom tune from Hemifever using 1 of the Diablo tuners.

I agree the hypertech will not blow you away but I feel like it gets better mileage than superchips. I would do the trinity after I have seen what it can do. I really like the bully dog one that Matt sells too and it sounds like it is doing well.

I had one in my 2010 hemi ram and it sucked. Stay away from hypertech. On the 87 tune with 89 octane in the tank the valves still pinged. And the fuel milage was actually worse than stock for me.

Hypertech is junk and I consider a total waste of money. DiabloSport Trinity with Hemifever tune is the absolute BEST tune and tuner I ever had (over the last 10 years and 10 vehicles). I'm running it on my 2012 RAM R/T.

The only reason I have the Hypertech is because I used it on my 05 Durango and then when I got my Ram a realized I could use it again. It does very little for performance but sure love to disable MDS. I would also go with Hemifever tune if I buy one I will.

Tuning my 09 with it makes truck suck. I just use it as speedo adjust and MDS delete.

ALL the HATE toward Hypertech, lol. I have two recent experiences with Hypertech tuners. One was a quad cab 08 4.7 Hypertech tuned that outran an 08 quad cab Hemi Sport. The second is my Titan. The Titan LOVES the Hypertech. I was less than impressed with the Bullydog tune on the T.

Neither of those motors were Hemi's though. The hemi tuning they put out is just lacking when compared to the other tuners out there.
