2012 ram 1500 st model

My ram came with the normal standard side mirrors I bought some new ones with the puddle lights plugged moth plugs into the door panel just fine but, the light does not work my defroster does still

I went to the dealership they ensured me they can program it and hours later called saying due to my year they could not figure it out after all :/ i dont care for the turn signal just want the puddle light itself to work what can I do to get it to work?

Hop on over to the AlfaOBD thread in the 4th Gen DIY section, you can do it yourself with that, probably for less than what the dealer would charge. If I remember correctly the setting is approach lights present set to yes.

Hop on to the right AlfaOBD thread. It's in the 3rd Gen DIY for 2006-2012 Rams. Our configuration is different than the 2013-2023 4th gens.
