2012 Ram headlight swap with headlights from 2018.

The assemblies and wire harness fit properly. High beams do not work properly now. Both (high and low) bulbs are not illuminating when high beams are on. Only the bottom bulbs illuminate.

Is there a computer change necessary? I am not computer savvy

Installing 2018 headlights in 2012 truck

I installed headlight assemblies from a 2018 ram 1500 into my 2012 truck. The wires seem to plug-in properly with no problem. When I turn on the high beams both highbeam and low beam bulb do not come on. Only the bottom bulb. Is there something special I need to do because I am thinking both...

I was directed to this room from another. Yes, I did in that room.

The dealer is wanting to charge 1 hour labor for each code change. Is that the norm? It sounds excessive

It does require some things, you'll need to look at the AlfaOBD thread and see if it's more cost effective to buy the software and hardware to make the changes yourself than paying the dealer.
