Installing 2018 headlights in 2012 truck

I installed headlight assemblies from a 2018 ram 1500 into my 2012 truck. The wires seem to plug-in properly with no problem. When I turn on the high beams both highbeam and low beam bulb do not come on. Only the bottom bulb. Is there something special I need to do because I am thinking both bulbs, highbeam and low beam, should illuminate

Did you convert from a dual headlamp, (single bulb for both high and low), to a quad headlamp, (two bulbs, separate high and low)?

If so, head on over to the AlfaOBD thread in the 4th Gen DIY section, you need to change the headlamp configuration
