Okay thanks man. I've been trying to decide on whether or not to put my leveling spacers back up front on top of the maxtrac coils. How's your ride? Does it ride rough?. We're they able to align it and get it close?

It rides like ****!!! HAHA

I only added the 2500 front coils and the 1" rear spacer as an experiment. I DO NOT recommend adding taller coils and spacers together. The ride is TERRIBLE and there is REALLY bad UCA and coil bucket contact, as expected. I only kept that combination on for 1 day before removing the coils and the 1" rear spacer. The combination was a huge safety hazard and I was terrified driving over 45mph.

*Please, no one attempt to piece together suspension parts in order to gain a few inches. Stick with a complete suspension kit and a body lift, at MAX. I have installed multiple combinations and can say the few extra inches is not worth it. These trucks are very nice and maxing out the suspension travel and suspension components will ruin the amazing ride RAM trucks have and pose a safety threat for you and your passengers.

This is not my daily driver, and not even my 2nd vehicle. The truck is now a "project" truck for the time being.

And no, the shop I use was not able to align it within specs. They tried multiple methods, all day and in between jobs, but the suspension geometry was too bad to make it work.

I am in the process of working with a custom shop in Florida on developing a 16" lift for the truck. I am working with them as the Design Engineer, as that is what I do for a living. I am in no means a mechanic, so this should be interesting haha.

Stay tuned!!

Interesting. I didn't know the 2500 coils would work. Did you drive the truck with just the 2500 coils? If so how was that?

When I bought the truck new in 2011, I installed just the coils and nothing else. The ride was good, but since I needed more height in the front to make it level, I removed the coils and installed a spacer.

I had these coils sitting around the house for 5 years and then one day wondered what happen if I installed them with a spacer. NO BUENO haha

The truck LOOKED good, but I honestly couldn't drive more than 5 miles, the ride was so stiff!

are you running 2.5" lift bilsteins on the front, i notice that you don't mention it anywhere and have really bad ride. I think that would help.

For everyone that has been scammed/ripped off by Sausec17.

Please take the time to report him to Western Union. Western Union will give you a fraud report number. Once you get that report number contact the Oakwood Georgia Police Department at (770) 534-2364. File a report and give them the Western Union report number.

Do not go through your local PD. This guy at my estimation has stolen over a $1,000 dollars from us. If we all go to our local PD chances are these cases will never be linked.
