Hey all.

Bought my truck brand new on August 30th (big horn quad cab) and already have a Rough country 2.5 level kit ready to be put in....after some searching of the forums, it seems that many have issues with a vibration or wobble in the front end due to the leveling kit being installed...can anyone share any sort of experience with this particular kit? Lifts the front 2.5 inches and the rear 1.75 inches. I am considering not even using the leveling kit and instead saving up for a 4 inch lift from rough country or from another company, if anyone has suggestions?

This is my first brand new truck and I am willing to take the time and spend the extra coin to do things right the first time. I definitely don't want to get the kit in, only to have issues.

Does it seem like there are less or no issues when going with a full actual lift kit as opposed to a cheap leveling kit? Or is there a good leveling kit out there that wont mess with front end geometry? Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

the wobble happens on solid axle trucks, ours are independent. (1500 series)

no problem with level

Yea death wobble is straight axle. I know countless that have ran the same kit with no issue. A lift that drops your front differential will be easier on your CVS but then you have steeper angle from transfer case. Gotta pay to play as nothing will ever be like stock. If you're that concerned I would suggest level though as its install/ removal is far less intrusive on the vehicle.

I've been reading on some of the forums of front end vibration issues on the 1500s with the leveling kits, that's why I was concerned about it.

Vibes when they are in 4x4 mostly. Its one of those things either you have it or you don't. A lot from bilsteins at 2.8. I honestly think you have nothing to worry about. I understand your concern as it is a brand new truck. As fore mentioned a leveling kit you can always take off. Once you drop that front diff and cut cross members its not so new. Lol
My truck was totally stock last December. I was apprehensive like you till I put on the rcx leveling kit with zero issues.
Just be sure to get a good alignment.

I have to plead ignorance on this issue but am concerned as well as I'm considering a leveling kit. Would a 2010 Sport 4x4 with Hemi be straight axel?

I cant say from experience, but I would imagine that any wobble noticed when in 4x4 with a leveling kit would be at higher speeds ???

if that is the case, realistically when you use your 4x4 its typically only for a short amount of time, or at a low speed.
