I think it depends if you currently have uConnect apps over cellular services charged on a monthly fee. Canadian radio are not built with cellular service I believe. If your truck currently does not have uConnect cellular services then I believe it would not matter if you bought a Canadian uConnect since cellular services cannot be added anyway if your truck did not come with it.
Perhaps someone else has more details.
