I recently picked up a 2013 Power Wagon for a camping/wood cutting/bashing in the forest vehicle
I can't believe the shape that this truck is in, way nicer than it would be if I had owned it for the last 10 years!
We had a Jeep Gladiator, but it was just way too small and uncomfortable for us.....we're average sized people

So far, I really like this truck over my new PW in a couple of areas
It's pre scratched and a good color for hiding dirt, bugs and scratches
The 2013 feels like a truck, it's not nearly as smooth as the 2022

Here is what I have (currently stock):
1 owner (RV sales place) (I'm sure it has towed a lot, there is a 5th wheel hitch in the bed)
5.7l engine
6 speed transmission (seems to work much better than my previous 2018 PW)
4.56 gearing
104,800 miles (still runs really strong)

I can't afford it till spring, but what would you guys do to an older PW

It does have a soft tonneau cover
Not sure how it will hold up with 4' of snow on it though....

Yes, I see that now. I don't see too many tonneau covers around here, mostly toppers, but then our snowfall just yesterday still in October was from 12 to 16 inches. I have a lot more confidence with a topper under 4' of snow.

It's supposed to start here next week
We have a job at Schweitzer next week, which already has 6-8"
Kinda can't wait to see how it does in the snow!

I forgot too.....it's not completely stock
I had a set of 35x12.5 r17 Duratracs in the shed and put the Diablosport 87 octane tune on it

For a 2013 that looks to be in great shape. Nice clean looking truck! If your anything like myself I would change all the fluids (trans, diffs, oil, tranfer case) when you get a chance. Unless you have record of when they were all done last.

That's sweet! I know it's bad form to ask, but what did you give for that? It's so clean underneath. That has 104k miles on it?

Whipple!
Would I need to rebuild at least the top half of the engine?

A little bit over $27k
I probably could have found one a little bit cheaper, but nobody is really willing to deal on a nice 4x4 in North Idaho with winter just around the corner.....
The good news is, I got rid of the Jeep!

I think that's a great price for something in that kind of shape. You could probably make money off it by posting it on Craigslist in eastern cities.

That would be awesome! But...then I would have to search for another one.

I dont believe so as the kit is designed for oem application. But, you can never be too safe by replacing the factory pistons with forged pistons.

Coincidentally, theres a whipple kit in the 'for sale' thread for a 5.7 ;)
