I can't take credit for how the lockbox looks in my last post, b/c its not mine. I found it on another forum and had the link to it as well but, I guess that is not allowed. Sorry, BlackedOutHemi, just thought it was was cool, and someone might like to see how that guy made it.

Doc221 ~ Combo is nice too just like the hidden look of the one I found. I thought it blend well and to someone that does not know the truck they would never move the liner to find the box. Plus I would not want to have to dig for a weapon, storage only.

For those of you with the 8 speed and bucket seats (full console), give me your opinions now that you've had your trucks for awhile.
When I first saw the picture posted in the OP, I thought without the floor shifter, that big hole really looked out of place. But, the more look at it, I kind of like it. So, for those of you that have this setup, are you happy with it? Or does it still look like something's missing there?

I love all of the storage space in my 8 speed sport, including that open center console. I can't lie, it's a good place for an open bag of munchies.

Its not as bad as I thought it would be, I would still like it covered, and have thought about making one but just not happy with what I keep coming up with. I think the biggest problem is, I know what I want the cover to be but I can make it. I had a 89 Merc. Cougar the center console had a roll top cover, it would be perfect for this, it could be opened and put out of the way. Any type of lift or swing style would be in the way when you open it.

Not having the shifter there is not a big deal, it does not look out of place. But after driving I still find myself wanting to put my hand on a shifter. Odd thing I never reach for a center shifter when changing gears. The problem cubby hole is that it collects things easily. I like the truck kept spotless and everything put where it goes. I have been known to make my kids take their shoes off, and I have Husky liners.
