So I just bought a 2014 ram 1500 with the 3.6 in it. Truck only has 58000 miles on it. The truck drives great but when ever you stop for a period of time and it idles in drive it starts shaking and throws a p0300 code. Initially it had a p0306 code and i switched the coils and it changed to a p0300. After this i put in new coils and plugs and it still says the same code. As soon as you put it into park and the idling increases a little the shake almost fully goes away. The only other thing I noticed that was weird about it was there was a small amount of engine oil in the throttle body both times I took it off. I honestly have no idea where else to start. PLEASE HELP!

Best thing to do here would be to connect a good scan tool not your cheap auto zone and look at the live misfire data to see what cylinders are missfiring. It could be many things from vacum leaks, Coils,Plugs,Camshaft ect very hard to say.

Any serious ticking in the valve train, you have 4 cams total, Intake exhaust on each bank, if it ticking you may have a bad tappet (fowler), or cam may be worn.

Oil in the throttle body isn't too alarming unless it is a large amount. These engines feed blow by back into the intake to be combusted, if you want to eliminate this, install an oil catch can. You're symptoms may be related to the fuel injectors going bad. On my 2014 I had injectors 2 and 4 fail with similar symptoms to yours. If you have access to a multimeter I can post the notes the dealer tech made to troubleshoot my issue for you.

Quick update. I have done coils, spark plugs, pcv valve, and still have no luck. Can you post those trouble shooting procedures for the injectors?

I would start with a compression test on each cylinder and take it from there, as I posted is there any noise in the valve train. you can Ohm out the injectors, a high ohm reading would indicate injector is on the way out, if no reading you have an open that means the injector is bad. (where your misfires are coming from)
Also switch injector from a known cylinder W no misfire to the cylinder W misfire and see if the code changes to the other cylinder.

That is what the dealer tech did to diagnose the bad injector
