hello, hope someone can help me with my climate control not working.
I was driving last night and my AC control led started flashing along with defrost, AC, and others and my AC stopped working. This happen a few times where I pressed on climate and would turn back on as if nothing was wrong. however, after turning on a few times, it then stopped working all together. Now the AC or auto doesn't come on and I have no AC (it's in the 90s here). Everything else seems to be working except for anything to do with climate.
I did notice that my phone speaker is low in volume. Not sure if this has anything to so with it but it seems odd.
Please help

I guess I'd try disconnecting the battery cables and let it sit for 20-30 minutes.

Also, how old is your battery?

the battery is about 5 years old. I'll try to disconnect it and see what happens

It might be time for a new battery, these trucks can do strange things if a battery is weak.

I disconnected the battery for about 30 minutes and when I reconnected it, the climate auto button is lit but no AC and it doesn't change if I hit off or just the AC button.

I've got to wonder about the touchscreen at this point. But the hard buttons could be funky. Or the controller that the buttons/touchscreen interface with.

Something's confusing the climate control, the hard buttons or the touchscreen. Or the control module itself. There's a way to reset the system but I don't recall what the procedure is. There are threads on the reset here on the forum.

Search for "climate control." You'll get several threads. One of them may tell you how to reset the system.

Good luck!

wouldn't disconnecting the battery reset everything?
Anyhow, still looking for the post you referred to on a reset.

I haven't been able to find "the post" either, just lots of posts that seem to be dealing with the same kind of symptoms that you describe. Some mention resets etc but don't go on to describe how to do the reset. I haven't been able to find the procedure myself in my searches.

I was hoping someone else more knowledgeable would have chimed in here by now. Sorry I couldn't have been of more assistance.

Edited to add: I found this link elsewhere. I haven't tried it myself.

Thank you for staying on this and for the link also.
However, I don't think it works, I didn't notice any behavior change while following the process.

I was able to get the body computer codes today. Here is what I have:
u0002, u0164, p1009, u0147, u0011, b17fb.
I haven't looked them up yet so, that will be my next step

looking into the codes, I'm leaning towards the HVAC control model being bad. This seems to be a very expensive part for some reason so i'm also looking at possibly purchasing a used one.
What are you thoughts and do you have any suggestions?

The new one is: 1uj97dx9ae

the AC was cold before it shutdown. Waiting on a new Climate Control module to see if it will take care of the problem, hopefully it does.

Had my battery tested and was told that the battery was good.
I reset the codes and now i'm down to two: U0164 and P1009.
I also tested with a different HVAC control module without any luck.

Any ideas on what I should do next?

just came back from the dealer and they are telling me the battery is still in good shape, over 800 cranks and at 12.5 v.
They are also thinking HVAC control module but they can't get my truck in until late next week so, I guess i'll be driving back to NJ without air.

For your low volume on the speakers for your phone make sure the volume on your phone is turned all the way up. That happened to me and I still don’t know why it was turned down. Smart stupid phones.
