I have a 2014 and a 2010 Ram with a 5.7 Hemi both are eighth character T engines, been finding a lot of conflicting information on this but what exactly needs to be done as 100% certain to put the 2010 into the 2014 chassis and the 2014 into the 2010 chassis ?

First confirm mds or non mds but It is the is the same engine/block I have done both basically just swap sensors from old engine to new. However the big thing is you need to swap the tone ring on the crankshaft this requires 100% removing the crank on both engines and removing the tone ring so you can swap. I have done this to save money many many times some people have said they have gotten away without a tone ring swap. However it has never worked for me and they are for sure different so... 2009 4th gen-2012 same tone ring after that it changes.

Okay i'm gonna ask the obvious question, why the 2 motor swaps. Just curious on what you're trying to accomplish with swapping your 2010 engine into a 14 and then swapping the 2014 engine into your 2010.Seems like a pile of work to me ;)
