2014 Ram 1500 calling for 10 ply tires?

Be happy. I;d much rather have had 17 inch 10 ply tires.

I was contemplating going to 20's and getting the Rims and etc but with the extra cost of the tires, having to recalibrate the speedometer and etc, not worth it to me.

My Express has 17's, doesn't require LT tires.
RCSB, V6, 3.55 gears.

My 16 came with e-load 10 ply Goodyears also. 16 Outdoorsman.

2018 Outdoorsman LT265/70R17E BSW A/T Tires and Rear Extra HD Shock Absorbers according to build sheet are listed under Optional Equipment and "Front Heavy Duty Shock Absorbers" are listed under Standard Equipment.

Absolutely no need for an E rated tire with a 43 psi cold rating. E and D roared tires have exactly the same load capacity up to 65 psi. The E rated are rated to 80psi and except in 17" tires, will have additional capacity. in 17" TRA limited all tires to 3195lb so there are sizes the D and E are rated exactly the same.

Are all the Ram 1500, calling for a 10 ply LT tire? Place where I got my tires found it odd that the truck calls for a 10 ply tire. He thought maybe the truck has heavier springs, hence the stiffer ply tire. Whats the verdict?

1994 dodge ram 1500 i have 10 ply tires load range e if you haul heavy loads they ride nice too i plow with my truck too so that why i have 10 ply tires
