I guess the first thing I would do is go to Rock Auto and see the Mopar shock part numbers for various series pickups (regular package vs SRT). Then go under your truck and look at the part number on your shocks (the sticker on your tks actual shock absorber). Then you at least know what's going on, if your pickup has a stiffer mono-tube shock that might be tuned stiffer.
Then you could consider, possibly, a a stock RAM shock of the same body style as yours (but non SRT), which 'should' be tuned softer. Or another aftermarket shock. Ram shocks do seem to last a long time, and I'm happy with the stock ride of my truck.
Beware, many quality aftermarket shocks seem to be (generally) a schooch stiffer than stock. But first see what kind of shock you have now ...stock or stiffer-than-stock (for SRTs). Then you can start evaluating new from there.
