So I'm having a problem with my new truck. The lights stay on regardless where I put the selector switch. The lights do go off eventually but come back on by themselves. They come and go all day. Can anyone help solve the issue? Thanks

Being a 2014 I'd take it to the dealer for warranty work, unless of course you've passed the kms warranty.

Other than that I have no idea what would cause that to happen.

Do you have a tuner? My tuner, if left in monitor mode when I turn the vehicle off and leave, will make my lights go on and off. I think it's just my dash lights I can't remember.

Body Control Module, switch, wiring.........take you pick. No easy way on this one. Best to find somebody that can troubleshoot CAN BUS controlled systems.

I don't have a tuner. 100% stock. Called 2 dealers...they act clueless to root cause

Welcome to the world of dealers.. most of new/recent (within 5-8 years) hires are just parts changers and not mechanics. They cant and sometimes wont diagnosis problems if their computers will not tell them what is wrong.

more than likely they will want you to leave it there while the problem is happening, first to try and figure out what is wrong, second to tell you to come back another day to fix the problem once they "have parts".

Not trying to be argumentative but dealership service or even independent shops are not in the business of helping someone fix their vehicle on a cold call for free.

Even then, given the somewhat complexity of it, what really could they have offered for the OP that just was not a pulled out of their ass guess without looking at it?

The guys up front answering phones at the dealership or any shop are not the ones fixing the cars. You can't expect them to fix something like that over the phone anyway. Take it in.

Think all the above advice about as good as you will get. If it's under warranty they may help you with a loaner vehicle. Don't know that it's common practice but I was given a loaner vehicle when they needed my truck for multiple days.
