I have a 2014 ram 1500 5.7 4x4 , I've carried it to the dealership 3 times over the past 2 years for the evap code and gas cap. And now engine light and gas cap light is back on. My question is there a tuner/programmer that can make it go off and stay off? Thanks

not sure about tuning it out but the issue is possibly simple.. there's a leak detection pump attached to the evap can that is probably faulty. I just changed mine out on a 2016 2500 under similar circumstances. The part is $30 at your favorite parts store.

I had a similar issue that was resolved but taking off the solenoid valve (in the engine bay, cycling the valve with a 12V supply) and changing the gas cap. Just changing the gas cap didn't resolve the issue but I'd look there first.

I had to do this as well a couple years ago on my 2015. First part replacement was the gas cap, but it was the leak detection pump that was the culprit.

Bigten, maybe this will help. I had the same issue. Turned out to be a $15 ESIM.

Next time that the engine light comes on, drive to your local auto parts store & ask them to use their Scan Tool to read the code #
That code # narrows down what the problem is

If your Mopar brand gas cap looks good, just wipe it off, look for depressions in the rubber that don't look right. If it looks good, it usually is
