My express didn't come with a towing hitch on it. All I need is the plate that bolts up right? I see if for around $100 or so online

Curt 13333 is the plate that bolts up works great used it on my 06 pull cars enclosed trailers no issues. It is worth noteing it's a class 3/4 with out WD you are looking at a rateing of 600 tounge weight and 6k Max trailer, If you go to WD hitch it is 1000 on the tounge and 10k trailer rateing. Curt also makes a whole replacemnt bar that solid for our trucks that's a stright class 4 more expensive and takes longer to install but it's over kill either will work.
I just don't trust the ClassIII/IV Mopar hitch - 12K lbs on two bolts? I'll take my six bolts everyday over that. Just scares the hell out of me that someone in the bolt factory screwed up the steel mix that ONE day.
There is actually 3. And the one that goes though the hitch hiole would hold the entire weight I would put money on it. It's not like all 6-7k of what ever you are towing isn't sitting on those bolts it's only 6-800 lbs sitting on the 3. When you put those on there is a plate that slides up behind there the 2 rear bolts go that holds the horizontal load from the trailer.
