I recently bought my first Chrysler vehicle. Picked up a 2015 Ram 1500 sport. After owning it a few months, I have a troubling problem. Turns out it has a HID kit for the projector lights and at random times, they will not turn off. It can go 3 weeks with them working perfect, then one day, nope, wont turn off. Rotating the knob on and off lots of times doesn't help. The only way I can turn them off is by taking one of the terminals off the battery.
I got stranded at my office last week and had to call AAA to give me a jump. Im thinking about switching to halogens but that might not fix the issue. Anyone else heard of this? Im writing this now in my office with the battery currently unplugged in the parking lot because it happened again this morning.

So I had a similar problem in my '14. For me, it turned out to be a bad light switch.
You can pop the switch out of the dash pretty easily as it's pressure fitted with springs. I'm not so delicate with the truck, so I just slid a knife edge in there and worked it loose. I didn't scratch anything in the process, but you may want to use a softer tool. Anyway, simply disconnect the harness from the switch and that should shut your lights off. I even left mine loose for a few days till I had time to get to the dealer, so I could "plug my lights in". Would be easier than pulling the terminal connection.
Unless you're covered by warranty, I think the dealer cost was somewhere around $90.
No guarantees but I would start there.
