I'm looking to pull the trigger on a 2015 black edition Express, just curious if there is anything I need to be on the lookout for before I sign my life and bank account away again. Thanks.

They only think I can think of is go over the paint real good the standered black seems to have some issues from time to time. They completely repainted my roof.

I'm mostly concerned with mechanical issues or design flaws that are beginning to rear their ugly head. We know 2013 turned out to be a **** year overall for many new Rams.

Mines a 2014, virtually same vehicle. Im a blackout express. Biggest problem is that it's too fun to drive. 4 months 4k miles not an issue yet.

13k is pretty good barometer.
Decent enough mileage to know if it's a lemon or not.

If I get the deal I want I'm gonna go for it as long as they don't try to screw me at the signing table. Just about a year ago I was about to buy 2014 black Ram, very good deal and I walked out of the finance office on delivery day because they pulled out the bag of last minute tricks. Very disheartening. I told them up front not to pull that crap, I was in the business for man years and I know the tricks, don't even think about it. They did it anyway. And I walked.

14 with 9k. So far the worse is a leaky oil filter and third brake light leaking.

I forgot about my leaky oil filter. I had a leaky oil filter it was after my free first oil change at aprox 5k miles i knowticed it around 10k and dropped the oil myself refilled it with penzoil full synthedic and a wiz filter so far so good no more leaks.

They tried to pull a trick on me I put x amount down and when into the finance office the paper work showed $500 more than what I was supposed to put down and I stopped her and said we are supposed to put this much down, it was late the sales manager left so she called him and he told her that they did that to get better financing (*********) and they were covering the extra $500. I was like ok how do I get that in writing she told me I couldn't so it only being $500 I signed the papers and moved on the next day when I came back to get my tool box and finish up my down payment they were like you owe $500 more and I called him out on it and he's like I won't lose a deal over $500 it'll just come out of my check I said ok your not getting the extra $500 and I drove away in my brand new hemi... Sneaky sneaky people can't stand it and there is no way he ate that $500 they were just trying to get more money.

I know it's the dang filters at the dealer. But I get like 4 years worth of free oil changes and tire rotations. They just changed it again, so far it's good this time.

If it leaks again just swap the filter and top it off

I'm looking at fully optioned black express. As optioned as they come. Stickers usually hover around 40/42k. With spray liner, hitch, 392 rear, 8 speed, etc...
I'm getting quotes for 32-34k. I think I can do better minus an option or 2. ******* will not entertain me through email, even their so called "Internet Sales departments". They just keep wanting me to come in and get the best pricing for my credit rating and talk about options etc...***** I know exactly what I want and have told them such and they keep asking me when can I come in.

Sales tactics it's sad the amount of pressure they wish to push on people.

Issue

I have a 2013 Black Ram Express and had zero issues with the truck.
My brand new 2015 (700) miles has developed an oil burning smell coming through the vents. Dealer has no idea why ?

2015 is largely unchanged from 2014, so I don't think there are really many big issues.

The only one I've seen on here time and time again is a leaky roof from the 3rd brake light.

I'm going in. I got a pretty ok price lead, so I'm gonna head over to the dealer and play the game. At least I'll know whether I'll be getting a new truck or just keep pumping money into my '02. Hopefully there will be some sort of closure for me. I'm an impulse no nonsense guy. I know what I want when I want and it's as simple as that. Just do it. That's why these dealers make me insane, every thing is so wishy washy sketchy and gray. I want "x" truck and only "x" truck. How much? End of story.
