I have 2015 express and wanted to know if there are any options as far as black or smoked headlights that don't give error ? I ordered some laminx but fear they will dim lights to much,,,, so want to see if I have other options to black out heads and tails to match rims etc ....

Do you mean HIDS or LEDS drop in or entire headlight swap.

Headlight swap so they are black or smoked. Iv checked out enlights site but I'm referring to housing of light so that they are smoked like a recon or painted black look.

I've got a '14 but want to do the same thing. Talked to a few guys and most of them have said that they've done it themselves. I don't trust myself enough to do it myself so I'll be curious to see what other people say here too.

eBay has several options. There are aftermarket replacement quad headlights with black bezels, there are multiple different brands that all look identical to the Recon projectors for Rams at a much lower price. I've actually read somewhere they're all made by the same company.

The recon and other branded projectors all have a smoked lens or they have ones with a clear lens but the inside of the housing is painted black. Clear lens looks better in my opinion and doesn't affect output.

As far as errors you won't have that issue unless you put HID or LED bulbs in because both headlights I listed use regular halogen bulbs, you can put HIDs in the projectors you just need the right wiring harness to avoid codes

Pulled the trigger on the second link...I emailed seller he says they fit with no error also. Should have in a week and will report back...have lamin x already coming. I'll use on the tail lights and fogs then run these headlights...thanks for sharing

Good luck fella, I also wanted a set of those. But heard how they are unreliable. Meaning all the Sonar/spyder headlights are *****.

I had ordered those headlights but then cancelled because I already had some stuff to do my own retrofit. If I hadn't I would've ran them either way. For that money I was willing to at least try them. Like I said I've read on other forums that all those after market lights are made by the same company anyways. I don't know if that's for sure true but I wouldn't doubt it considering the spyder, recon, and other brands look identical.

Still kinda tempted to pick a set up someday as a spare set and maybe pull them apart and see what I could do with them.

Search for ram quad headlights on eBay. There's several different sellers that make those ones. That style is also available as a genuine mopar item now so you can get them from a dealer just more expensive.

I had a set of those on my 13 for 7-8 months with no problems, while I saved up for better ones.

Cool that's great news. Thinking I might send my factory ones to jj retro shop to have him paint just in case these don't last.

I'm 99% positive the spyder projectors are an H1 bulb
