My 2015 hemi surges at 60 mph cruising... no matter if on cruise control or manual pedal... it goes up about 50 rpm, then back down.. it does this surge about every 4 seconds, I can hear it and see the tach move.. I wonder what this can be due to... any ideas??

Probably the MDS coming on and off.

Tap the Tow/Haul button. If the surging stops then the MDS is the cause.

Gas (fuel), air, spark or transmission. Use tow haul can also help if it is trans, it only happens at 60? What about 70 or 50? Use tow haul can change from at the time it usually happens, if you use tow haul did the mph when surge happens change?? If you are parked and same rpm does it surge?

I agree this would be the first thing to try, but tow/haul won't shut MDS off on that truck. Would need to use the gear shift button set to 8.

If that's not the issue, I've read some of the older 8-speeds have torque converter issues, could be locking and unlocking while you are going down the road.
