Ok, so I received the 9005 LEDs along with 3 sets of decoders this evening and was able to get everything installed. So, right now I'm all LED up front - 9012 lows, 9005 highs, 9006 fogs. As a refresher, the 9012s and 9006s were ordered from Xenon Depot, but their decoders did not work correctly and the lights would not stay lit. Sometimes they'd go for awhile, sometimes one would shut off, etc. I was told that resistors would solve the problem and they promptly sent me two sets, but I opted not to install them because of how hot they get. So I contacted Auto LED Corp who sent me their decoders for my existing 9012 and 9006 LEDs. I decided to go ahead and order a 9005 kit from Auto LED Corp while I was at it. So all lights now have the Auto LED Corp decoders on them.
Of note, the Philips LED lamps from Auto LED Corp and Xenon Depot look exactly the same (minus, of course, the differences between being a 9012, 9006 or 9005). The decoders by each company look completely different from each other and is where the difference in flickering or other problems is going to be from what I've found out so far.
With the 9012 and 9005 in the projector assembly it's very crowded trying to get all of the cabling and decoders for both lights to fit inside the housing. I got it done, but had to play with it for a bit. Minus the complete PITA that it is to get to the headlamps to change the bulbs, it was an easy install.
Next I put the new Auto LED Corp decoders on my existing 9006 LED fogs. No problems there and super simple.
I had a few errands to run after the install and all of the lights performed flawlessly. No flickering, lamps failing to stay lit, EVIC messages, etc. Granted, I wasn't out and about that long, but it's a start.
While Xenon Depot offered stellar customer service, I'd stay away from their offerings right now if you have a 2015 because they don't seem to have it figured out just yet where their decoders work. Time will tell on the Auto LED Corp, but they're working fine as of right now.
Hope this helps, y'all.
