It's a issue with the new programming on the 15's. Nothing but halogen work. A couple of people are working on a fix for hid's not sure how it will translate over to led's

wondered what would happen if you doubled up the resistors to make the load closer to a regular halogen bulb.............

I've read of few guys having success with led low's in a 2015 using decoder's. I'm still waiting on retroshop to get this figured out before I try it though.

I'm having similar issues. First, i tried the GTR Lighting LED Gen 2 Kit (Pretty nice, easy install) but they don't fit in the housing (the bulb and fan is too long).

Issue I had with these - I would be driving and first one would go out and not come back on, then eventually the 2nd one would go out as well. It probably took 15-25 minutes for both to go out. I drove to walmart quick, maybe 10 minutes inside, and when i came back out they worked fine... I was using the GTR CanBus deal with these as well:
CANBUS Module for Single Beam LED Headlight Conversion Kits - GTR Lighting

So, I called up GTR, expressed my issues, and they offered to upgrade me to their Hilux gen 4 HID kid ($100 more) for free. This kit fits in the housing fine, allowing you to seal the headlights again.
55W CANBUS Hylux Gen 4 Single Beam HID Conversion Kit - GTR Lighting

So, i get these bad boys installed (no canbus fix needed, supposedly because the ballasts take care of that)

Things seemed to go well, driving around town, i noticed that the lights would go off (together) for a few seconds then come back on. At one point one went off, then would not come back on. But sure enough, when I left the truck off for a while, then came back later (maybe an hour) they fired right back up - same as the LEDs. So like you guys say, it doesn't seem to be a problem with the HIDs or LEDs, but with the truck.

Wonder if the latest firmware update might fix that??

Thoughts?

Retro shop and one other vendor have come up with a harness for the 15's. At this point I don't think they have a can bus adapter yet

Look up Opt7 LED headlights. I have the H11's in my '15 and they're great. They are CANBUS compatible, no flickering, etc.

Projectors or not?

Sorry, just saw this. Quad reflectors.

The LED's I bought have built in CANBUS adapters. No issues in the 2015, but you definitely need to adjust the leveling downward quite a bit to prevent blinding oncoming traffic. I ended up making 4 full turns to get them at the proper level.

Did you have to install the capacitors, or the other extension wire they send you? I installed both and after a week of driving my truck with no issues, the passenger side goes out a few minutes after the truck is running. OPT-7 sent me a relay harness that seems to do nothing. I cannot say enough good things about their customer service, top notch!

First post here, but I have some experience with replacing the low beams and fogs on my 2015 Longhorn CC (factory projector housing).

Ordered mine from xenondepot.com. Went with LED replacements for the low beams (9012) and fogs (9006). Low beams had an option for CANbus adapters that I paid extra for, fogs did not.

Installed everything and the driver side low beam would stay on for about 30 minutes and then go out. It'd come back on intermittently. Also, the driver side fog would almost immediately flash about 3-4 times and then go out. It'd come back on when the truck was turned off and back on again. Contacted Xenon Depot who promptly answered that resistors would solve the problem and sent them to me that same day.

Resistors are still on their way, but I had some time to play around with everything yesterday afternoon. I removed the CANbus adapter from the driver side low beam and put it on the driver side fog - fixed the problem. It stays lit. So, that caused the driver side low beam to behave exactly the same as the fog had - would flash and then go out. So, I took the CANbus adapter off of the passenger side low beam and put it on the driver side low beam - voila! It all worked.

So, I can't explain how or why, but with the 9012 LEDs in the low beams and 9006 LEDs in the fogs, they work with CANbus adapters installed ONLY on the driver side lights. Weird. No bulb out messages in the EVIC, flickering, flashing. Took the truck out for almost 1.5 hours last night without any issues.

EDIT: I'm still having issues and posted further down in this thread. Going to try a solution through Auto LED Corp.

Almost sounds like the drivers side lights are at the end of the line. Years ago when I set up a SCSI scanner a set of load resistors had to be installed at a specific point in the system (I think in the scanner). Many devices could be daisy chained but the resistors needed to be changed. I wonder if the lighting system is a similar setup where all the lights are daisy chained and if you interrupt the signal too soon it gives problems.

Interesting. Keep us posted after some more time has passed.

Any update on this? Winter is coming, and the shorter days end up in me driving to and from work in the dark.

I know mine's not a 2015, but I went this route, thinking it would be a slight upgrade in light and a nice upgrade in appearance. No offense to anyone who likes them, but for me, they were an upgrade in appearance only. The fog lights put a bit more light onto the road, but they actually put out slightly less light from the projectors.

The final straw was that, even with CANBUS adapters and resistors wired in, I still got a headlight bulb out message on my EVIC. I am **** about error messages, comes from being in IT Support I guess.

I just finished putting my stock bulbs back in, and while they are yellow, I confirmed I can see farther with the stock bulbs. It might be the optics in the projectors, as the LEDs supposedly put out roughly 700 lumens more than regular 9012 bulbs. It also might be the color, as 6000k doesn't go as far/show as much as 4000k to 5000k.
