Well i did my research and couldn't find much at all related to this so i figured i would do a very brief write up for anyone in the future looking to do this swap as well. First and foremost, it IS possible!

I started out with a 2015 SLT ecodiesel.. ordered the sport hood, grill (complete), bumper and all of the bumper supports/nuts/bolts/etc (very important you order everything), as well as the black sport headlights. Everything bolts right up no problem at all.

For the hood its a very quick and simple direct change, the fake vent inserts aren't fun to install but it goes without saying, take your time. undo the 4 bolts holding the hood to the hinges and disconnect the sprayer line, i ordered new latch and liner so i simply bolted my complete new hood up after assembling it.

The grill is pretty self explanatory, i had to swap my shroud that clips on the back of it (not sure if the hemi has the shroud as well but the ecodiesel does) but its a simple 2 minute unclip & clip job. then just the 4 clips and bolts that hold the grill to the truck.

For the headlights they of course bolt right up as every headlight from 09+ does, but you will need to grab an adapter harness from the retro shop so you can plug them in (13+ dual load resistor harness). Get the plugs the right way or they wont work.

As for the bumper it as well is a pretty simple and straight forward swap. Nothing specific needed but you DO NEED to order every mounting part for the sport bumper (except the side deflectors...probably the wrong name for them) they bolt under each headlight and you can just leave them on. But be sure to order all of the u-nuts, bolt, plastic "rivets" etc as you WILL need them.

Hopefully that helps some people in the future, any questions just ask. Pictures for your time.

What did you do with the old SLT Bumper? I'm looking for that bumper so I can run a Ranch Hand on my truck.

Someone bought my whole front end to save a few bucks repairing theirs. Only have my chrome rear bumper left that i replaced with a painted one (regular style, not dual exhaust)

Bummer! I've been trying to find a two piece bumper with the white upper piece for months now.

You now have the only eco-diesel sport in creation.

If you hadn't done the sport hood, it might have looked like an eco-diesel express however.

Nice mod!

Sport is cheaper but I wanted the ecodiesel and my options were SLT converted to sport or Laramie and buy the hood, grill, and black lights. So the SLT was significantly cheaper.

What was the cost for the parts associated with this swap?

Full retail I believe was around $6000 but the dealer messed up aND charged me $2800 on my sales deal for it and had to honour it.

They are just the black edition of the sport lights.every part is right from the dealership.

Yeah the dealership didn't want to be associated with the swap as they (and myself) couldn't find any information regarding whether the parts for sure fit or not. But I was dead set on having an ecodiesel sport.

Looks good. I like the idea of making it what you wanted. Kind of dumb not to let you order a Eco diesel in a sport I am sure many others would want one. They seem to be very popular motor. I really want one of those hoods for my 14 black edition reg cab. Refuse to pay retail at a dealership and I don't have a hookup at any dodge dealers yet. The ford dealer I used to do work for had Chevy and dodge dealer along with import brands so I ordered everything from ford for my GM cars so I could get the cost +10% deal on parts plus I only paid $20/he labor so I didn't even do my own installs on mechanical stuff. They put a completely new AC in my 98 Trans Am for $600 parts and labor. I miss working there since they owned 2 dodge dealers so I would have had my tow mirrors and sport hood already. Waiting to find a ram local totaled in the rear so I can get a OEM one.

Most new vehicles that are written off are immediately sold complete. I tried to find some parts so i could convert my 2011 but had no luck and dealership wanted over $6000 for everything... I just got extremely lucky when ordering my ecodiesel and they quoted me $2800 by mistake and then had to honour that price. I think an ecodiesel sport would sell fairly decently as well, most people i talk to really like the sport look and everyone i talk to with a 1500 seems to have considered the switch to the ecodiesel. And the laramie is just ridiculously priced IMO for a 1500 so it isnt worth it to go that route if you want to get the sport look in an ecodiesel..
