2015 tailgate lock?

I received two key fobs, and I know the tailgate locks now when you lock the truck. But I didn't get an actual key to lock the tailgate manually. Did everyone with the new locking tailgate actually get a key?

The key is in the key fob/ The silver part pulls out. There is a little switch on the back that you should be able to move that will release the key.

*Assuming no changes from 2014

I got 2 keys with my 14. I have seen where some of the guys with the 15 got them and some didn't.

My 13 came with 2 fobs and 2 old school keys as well...

Same here in the back of the key is a slide out old school on both sets of mine

Yes they are , small sliver ones .

Yep, it's hidden inside the key fob. There's a tab that you slide over that will release the key. The upper part of the fob (where key chain attaches) will pull out with the key.

Yes they are , small sliver ones .

That is odd. They would need to look like the key fob ones to work in the tailgate. I had a glove box lock added, it is also keyed to the fob keys.

My 09 had a separate key. The 14 did not.

I think they all have the 'key in the Fob', regardless of year.

It's all over the board with keys. My 14 big horn came with 2 fob and 2 regular keys. Mine haS the key in the fob also.

That key is your backup for when your fob dies or your battery, etc issues

Also you can simply walk up to your door handle an unlock/lock tailgate with the pushbutton or inner sensor

The ones inside the front door handles that unlock the vehicle when you have the fob on you but doesnt require you to do anything more than stick your hand in the handle hole. It opetates the tailgate at the same time...

Oh ya keyless go, OP doesn't have that on his big horn. I have it on my citadel. So now I know what your talking about. I guess I got lucky,I can open my tailgate with the fob or key that's in the fob or the 2 additional keys that came with mine.
