I have a 2016 2500 Tradesman 5.7L Hemi. I recently rotated the stock wheels and the TPMS sensors have not relearned positions. I’ve looked for the button above the pedals, I’ve disconnected the battery, and driven the truck at least 800 miles since, but the tire locations still read wrong. Is this something I can do, or do I need a TMPS scan/relearn tool. Thanks in advance!

Are they all reading incorrectly or is your light just on?

The tires psi reads correctly (60 psi on fronts and 80 psi on rears) but the truck remembers the old wheel locations. So it throws a warning and the TPMS light is always on because it thinks the fronts are inflated to 80 and the rears at 60 psi

If you have a Walmart near you, they can typically relearn them and usually do not charge for this.

Thanks! I’ll probably go that route and next time just pay a place to rotate the tires. I’m a pretty strong dude, but those wheels were very heavy and getting the truck on the two post lift was a little sketchy

Generally you don't need to do anything with Chrysler vehicles, at least trucks and Jeeps. That convenience is offset by the system being somewhat finicky at times. On my 2013 I can drive for months no problem and then suddenly it dings at me with "service tire pressure system". The error is always that it can't figure out where which sensor sits, but then it goes away after a while. I believe the issue is related in some way to the sensors and the way the system learns (wheel rotation and signal strength). I do have two other wheel sets (don't ask ...) and they never had that problem.

That’s what the door jamb label calls for on the rears. Not a rough ride at all with the 3/4 suspension and frame. Truck pulls a fairly tongue heavy 10,000 travel trailer with just a ball mount(no weight distribution hitch needed) the weight of the trailer levels the back of truck out by 2-3” inches and it’s all perfect.

go to any chain type tire store & ask them if it would be much of a bother for someone to use the hand held device & reset the TPMS in the wheels

Most places will gladly do it for free, if a person is polite
