sounds like a lifter. Mine has done that once- About a year ago hasn't done it since. Deffinetly get it in

Hmmm. That would make me bring it in to the dealer. I would stop by a coffee shop near the dealership for a while, wait for it to cool off, and then and then drive it over right into their service aisle on a busy day. When everyone hears the loud noise they will be interested to know what is wrong with the new truck, and the shop will want to get it remedied in a quicker fashion I would think to avoid the negative attention.

I'd drive over and park on their lot the night before. Leave it. Bring a tech out with you on cold startup the next morning..

Well today is the second time it's been in for this. They've had it for seven hours and say they don't hear an abnormal knock. I'm beyond pissed right now. They've cold started on the first appt. It doesn't have to be cold or hot, it's random as #:.@
