I recently had the opportunity to swap out the interior from a 2016 Laramie into my 2011 SLT. I am attempting to figure out how to wire the powered seats -which are also heated and cooled. The little bit of research I’ve already done leads me to believe that the cooled seats might be an enormous (or perhaps impossible) task whereas simply powering the seat for reclining and etc. Might be a bit more realistic?

For starters I haven’t been able to locate an adapter to match up the different wiring harnesses. Specifically the wiring attached to the powered seats (from the 2016 Laramie) have more wires than the receiver/harness attached to my 2011 SLT-the new seat’s harness isn’t the same size as the old sear’s harness.

Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do You have any wiring diagrams? The seats may need an extra power wire for heated and cooled and then separate switches if your vehicle doesn't already have the heated and cooled switches stock. If u don't have wiring diagrams I'll see what I can find.

I will say don't give up hope! It's likely a simple task that just requires extra power and ground. Might just mean running a power from a switched source (power supplied only when key on) to your on off switch and then wire it in. The odds of finding an adapter harness from 2016-2011 is likely a hopeless search but with schematics and connector pin outs you can cut and splice it in.

Thanks guys. I don’t have a wiring diagram. Is there a resource I can use to search for one?

I'll see what I can find. Send pics of the truck and seat connectors please.

I had some seats from a 2014 SLT in my 2011 SLT, getting them powered for the reclining and everything was fairly simple, just had to move some pins around and swap the connectors. I never did get the heated seats working, although I only had them in my truck for a month or two before I found some sport seats.
PM me and I can send you the pin outs if you want.

^^^^^^ that's ur best bet all the hard stuff is already done. I can still help try to get heated and cooled seats going if need be tho.
