Originally I was looking into getting myself Morimoto lights for my low beam and fog lights but I’ve been told they have problems with the 1500 because they’re wired differently than 2500 and 3500 so I wanted to know what’s good out there

Modifystreet all day.

Search for the 'has anyone tried modifystreet" thread....

Well worth their price, 1/3-1/2 the price of morimoto.

Agreed! I personally preferred the look of the older style light but, either way, you can't go wrong. I've had mine about a month now and they're awesome. I get tons of compliments on the DRL's and how good they look, no moisture, no problems. I'm very happy with them.

@Praiser, they're on Amazon.

This is the exact kit I bought, but I recommend getting one without HIDs and sourcing your own light bulbs if you want something other than the included H7 Halogens:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NPZS2MJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have already replaced the HID bulbs (kept the ballasts from this kit) for ones that are 4500K 55w.

6000K is not the best for vision...4300-5000K is.

6000K LOOKS better for aesthetics, bust is less visible light for your eye. The higher the temperature color, the less light you can actually see. I live on windy, hilly country roads, no lights other than me, lots of critters ranging from mice all the way up to bear (very rare)....I prefer to see them and be able to avoid them.

Did you have to run decoders or error cancellers, or did you reprogram your truck using AlphaObd, to avoid error or light out indications?

Which HID kit do paid you go with for the low beams? What bulbs are you running in the high beams?

I presume you originally had reflector quad headlights?

Those lights really look great.

I did not run any additional decoders, just what is installed in the HID kit, which DDM TUning also includes in theirs (amongst many others). I did not reprogram or anything, so get "Parking Light out" error when using turn signals as it turns off the running lights when switching to turns signal....not annoying to me, but others may disagree.

I recommend DDM Tuning as I have had great success with them, and their prices are generally lower than vast majority of competition.

H7 HID 4500K 55w lows
H7 halogen included with new lights for high beam (I would love to go LED or brighter halogen, but haven't yet...they are plenty bright)

I did have reflectors originally.

I looked and the ModifyStreets, but decided to go with the OEM Ram Projectors. Probably nothing wrong with the Streets, although I did see a comment that the shells are a bit thin - probably a non-issue though. I found a new and a like new OEM Projector for a decent price, but had to add the RetroShop Harness to connect them - which you won't have to do if you go with the MS's.

I did not add HID's, coming from Quads so far I am pretty happy with the Projector stock bulbs. Although if I do I would probably look at the RS or DDM setups.
