2016 Ram 2500 EGR valve TSB

Had my 2016 Ram 2500 (6.4 hemi engine)into my dealer last week for a oil change they stated there was a TSB to change out the EGR valve.Had it done under warranty. Just a heads up to other Ram owners.

Our local dealer replace my EGR and transmission solenoid for TSB on my 2016 6.4. I was having starting issues after it was warmed up. Now, it works like a charm!

Dealer stated they were have some EGR failures.Preventive measures I guess.

Oh, okay mine dealer haven't said nothing about mines maybe the next time I take it in for oil change.

Had mine replaced under the same TSB. I was having a bucking/surging issue at steady speeds and even worse at lower speeds. come to find out it was the EGR that was causing the problem.

My 2016 3500 was replaced as well. I'd have yours checked.

Dealer looked up my truck. Said mine doesnt need it.

I honestly dont trust my dealer though so im going to call another

I just posted a new topic about a possible issue with my truck. I've noticed it smells like rotten eggs lately (converter too hot? ) and only getting 10 mpg empty on my commute. Also, noticed at start up it seemed too have a miss a few times. 2017 2500 with a little over 700 miles in it. That's mostly city driving, so i wonder if that's an issue?

Anyone with the egr replaced have anything similar on their trucks?

Had my EGR replaced under a TSB on my 2016 with the 6.4 hemi.Runs great but it ran great before they replaced the EGR.No smell with mine.

I'm at 24k miles and have none of the issues described, if anything this truck is running stronger than ever and getting 16-17 mpg hwy.

Those that had their EGR replaced, can you post your build date off your door sticker? Thanks

Just got a recall notice about the solenoid after my truck left us on the side of the road a couple weeks ago. While on the phone with customer service trying to get reembursed for the tow, they inform us of the egr recall. How did they not catch that when the truck was being serviced for the solenoid? Is the EGR recall new or has it been out for a while? I get my oil changed at the dealer and they have never mentioned either of these recalls to us when the truck was there being serviced.

Had the EGR tsb done about 30 days ago headed this friday for the Recall T15 solenoid pack. Your dealer should have informed you about the EGR tsb my dealer did.All they have to do is run your Vin #

That's what I was thinking. I am very irritated that they did not take care of it while they had it. Now I have to make arrangements to bring the truck back.

Can you guys give me a TSB ?recall number or something.. (not sure how dodge works) that I can go to my dealer with on my next oil change for the solenoid and EGR.. I would like to know, thanks!

My 2016 doesn't show this as applying. I do have the symptoms though. Just called service and told them the truck hesitates under lite throttle, I was down a quart at 5000 miles and occasionally I get a puff of smoke on start up.

Can you go into more detail about your " hesitation under lite throttle". Just curious what you're doing when it happens and what the truck is doing exactly.
