2017 1500 5.7 cranks but doesn't start seems to a fuel issue.

My last truck was a 97 Chevy diesel so I'm new to the Rams. I'm guessing it either the fuel pump relay or the pump. I did some research but not getting good answers. I gave it a small squirt of starting fluid and got a almost start. So I figured spark and air is not the problem. How do I check if the relay is good or bad? It's in the TIPM right and not replaceable? But able to bypass it? The relay needs to be ruled out first before I pull the tank. Thanks

I used a jumper wire to give the pump 12 volts and I hear the pump running but still no start . I sprayed a little starting fluid in the tb and it gave a few coughs So there's spark. There was never and indication that something was wrong. I drove it and parked it and the next morning nothing. I have codes now P025A and U0109. For some reason fuel isn't getting to the injectors. Could it be clogged pump pickup or the pump not making enough pressure,.
There is a little thing on the fuel line with wires attached to it just before it gets to the fuel rail. What is that?

Just jump the relay to check fuel pump operation.

The pump is pumping. I disconnected the hose that the fuel rail and jumped it and fuel came out into the jug I had . Also just replaced the 5yo battery. Still no start.

Yes that is correct. So I'm thinking it the fuel pump control module, wiring I've been checking that nothing yet. Or the pump isn't making enough pressure. What do you think?

I know exactly where this ground is. It looked good but I will take it off and clean it. My whole truck is undercoated with wool wax and there is no rust under there.

Well it will start with starting fluid. It has around 60 psi of fuel pressure but will not start. Any ideas

Sounds like it's not firing the injectors if it has 60 psi at the rail and will start using starting fluid.If that's the case it might be a pcm issue.

Yes that is what I am thinking. The codes were pointing to the fuel pump control module. No my scanner will only show live. Someone else said that but also that is very rare.

AlfaOBD will test fire the injectors individually. And with a pre 2018, no security gateway bypass harness is required.

I don't think my scanner does that. Could you tell me where this pin is so I could check for power?

Will Alfa actuate the FPCM ? Or maybe I should ask if that is a complete list of functions ?
That seems to be a partial list of Active Diagnostics.
If you could show the complete list ; that would be very helpful.
